Alishia met her husband in 2011 and soon after that they moved in together. After 2 years, they bought a house together and one night while they were chilling, resting after all the moving, Alishia left the room for a moment and when she came back, he was down on one knee asking the big question. She obviously said yes.
Alishia found the dress of her dreams at Lisa Bilotti Bridal Couture. The ADK 77966 had just the right amount of sparkle she wanted in order to feel like a princess. she paired the dress with a headpiece from Ivory & Co and her late grandmother’s engagement ring. Plus she had a broach specially made for her bouquet so she could have her late father present on her special day.
Both the ceremony and the reception took place at Plum Park Hotel. She wanted a garden venue since they enjoy spending so much time on their own garden. The theme of course was garden rustic and she added terracotta pots all over the place so it wouldn’t be too girly.
Since they paid for everything themselves, they could not afford to go on a honeymoon so they hired a steel drum band to give a taste of the Caribbean to the guests at the wedding. They chose to dance to Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s get it on” to have a little fun and at the end of the reception they had a fireworks display .
A tip from the bride:
Try not to focus on what makes others happy but on what makes YOU happy.
