“I was one of the few lucky brides who picked my dress the first day I went to look at gowns. I went to Schaffer’s Bridal in Des Moines, IA with my sister, mom, and mother-in-law. We had such a great experience at Schaffer’s! I was lucky enough to get an awesome consultant, Kelly, to help navigate through all of the beautiful dresses they have in store. Leading up to the wedding, I had always loved unique lace and dramatic backs on wedding dresses. On the day I went to try on dresses, I found myself torn between two beautiful gowns — they were complete opposites! The first dress was a beautiful yet simple A-line dress that was flowy with horsehair trim and the second was a form fitting fit-and-flare Eddy K MD237 with a dramatic black and unique lace that I had always envisioned. I loved both dresses, but when I tried on the Eddy K MD237 dress for what seemed like the millionth time, I knew it was the one! I felt like a bride in it and could not wait to wear it walking down the aisle to marry my best friend. It was the perfect dress for our big day — the elegance of the lace went beautifully with our string quartet and the dramatic back gave my dress a fun touch!
