From the Bride:

I have always been one to push the envelope with fashion, and my mom and I are usually on the same page. We searched about four boutiques with two designers in mind. One designer was very expensive with intricate beading and design, the other was very simple and in my ideal price zone. It seemed as though every dress I tried on my mom would say “I like the top, but hate the bottom” or it just did not look exactly as I thought it would on my body. We stumbled upon Blissful Bridal after taking a break for lunch. My mom and I made a brief initial appointment, pulling a few dresses and each one was an Eddy K dress. The style, fabric and fit just seemed to be the best for my body type. I had an idea that I would want a fitted, lace, low back and was excited for the possibilities. We did not purchase any dresses that day but felt confident that we could find one at this store later on. For my second appointment, my bridesmaids and mother in-law came along. I tried dropped waist, ball gown, and full lace style dresses. None of these were “the one” but it solidified my list of what I did and didn’t want in a dress. I told my stylist low back, lace but not too much, beading, and cut-outs on the side of the dress. She was able to pull up a picture of the MD220 on the Eddy K website and I instantly knew this was the one. I showed my mom over FaceTime and we decided to order it because we both loved it. My final visit to Blissful Bridal was to try on the dress we found online with my mom by my side. I felt like myself in the dress and it complimented all of my physical attributes. I did want my dress a bit lower on the back and the seamstress was able to lower it even more for that “wow” factor as I walked down the aisle. It was fate and I was so glad to have my mom by my side.
